We're excited to announce that our annual Point-in-Time (PIT) Count is scheduled for Tuesday, January 28,2025, featuring three timelines - early evening, late evening, and early morning Encampment count on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. **Encampment Count volunteers must be homeless service providers.
The Point-in-Time (PIT) Count is an annual census of people experiencing homelessness during a single night in January. Close to Home conducts the PIT Count in San Antonio/Bexar County, providing staff, partners, and volunteers with an organized opportunity to interact with our neighbor's experiencing homelessness. The information collected impacts local priorities on homelessness and HUD’s funding decisions nationally.
Volunteer Registration will be posted in the Alliance Training Portal.
For New users, you can select Contact and inform us that you would like to register for the Point in Time Count so that an account can be created for you.
Once you are able to log in, select Courses on the main dashboard. On the left-hand side search Point in Time 2025 Volunteer Registration and complete the Registration Event followed by the Survey and General Waiver.
**Please note that if you will be participating in both counts you will need to complete both surveys**
