We are guided by the Youth Action Board of San Antonio (#YABSA) which strives for youth to be at the center of decision making. Our movement to house all youth is established in our coordinated community plan, WE SAY.

Latonya is a former foster care child from Oklahoma City. She is a loving mother with two young boys. Her life has been far from normal and she has encountered many of the risk factors that lead to homelessness. For many years, Latonya experienced family violence and domestic abuse which led to her incarceration. Struggling to find permanent housing, Latonya and her boys experienced homelessness multiple times. Motivated by her sons, she is working to finish veterinary school. She hopes to help as many homeless youths as possible through YDHP and her involvement with YAB.
